PRIME DC IEC-61334-4-32 API Specification: Broadcasting

Hi E2E,

The IEC_61334_4_32_LLC_DATA_REQ TLV indicate "unicast". Is broadcasting supported?

If broadcasting is supported, how is it indicated for IEC_61334_4_32_LLC_DATA_REQ? Is DC_API_TLV_TYPE_DADDR set to 0xFFF and/or DC_API_TLV_TYPE_DSAP set to a group DSAP?

running on a node in the PRIME network

Iam trying to understand the need for broadcast ? What is the use case?

Hi Vivek,

The use case is DLMS image transfer using broadcast. See DLMS UA 1000-1 Ed 12.0:2014, Blue Book, Section 4.4.6.
