How to derive base frequency

Hi Experts,

How to derive the base frequency requirement of the TI processor for running Linux Kernel ?

Is it based on the parameters like number of interrupts processed per second or some other parameters in the OS which decides the basic clock frequency ?

What you meant by "base frequency" ?

Are you talking about core frequency of processor ?

You can refer to the data sheet of particular processor.

Thanks for the reply.

The issue is whether I need to run the processor in 600 MHz or 1000 MHz for my application. Say in case 600 MHz is enough what are all the parameters I could consider to finalize it ?

Hi Lyf,

The OPP (operating performance point) parameter would decide the operating frequency.
