AM335x ICE enetLwip can it be built to use just one RJ-45

Hi,

I have been building and running the enetLwip demo project. It requires ethernet cables plugged into both J1 and J2. J2 does not appear to be active or used but the cable must be present. Is there some way to modify the code to not require the cable in J2 ?

I suppose that it has something to do with PHY0 going in power-saving mode when the cable is unplugged.

Jim,

I do not think the cables have to be plugged into both ports. enetLwip example uses only Ethernet_0(J2) and the cable should be present for only this port(J1 status does not impact here)

Thank you, that did solve the problem the enetLwip demo app only used one port and I was picking the wrong one. This works nicely with one cable. Thank you.
