Changing Frame rate of LCD in AM3505

Hello TI,

We found a way to change the frame rate of DSS using below sys entry:

"/sys/devices/omapdss/display0/timings"

By changing the pixel clock we are able to change the Frame rate but when we do that we get flickers or artifacts on the display.

So is there a way by which we can change the frame rate without changing pixel clock?

Or is it an expected behavior?

Hi Krunai,

Frame rate is tied to the pixel clock. The fbset command returns what your current settings are. You should also measure the actual pixel clock to confirm that everything is correct.

Thank you for your response.

So as per my understanding if we change frame rate, pixel clock will also change. Please correct me if I am wrong.

That means we cannot reduce frame-rate without changing pixel clock.

If there is any other method by which this can be achieved please let me know.
