AM335x Starter Kit Design Revision

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3358

HI,

I have developed my required system based on "AM335x Starter Kit" design. I have connected the RAM, LAN, SD-card, WLAN (WD1801), Zigbee, LCD and other circuit same as provided Schematics of this starter kit.

Please confirm me is  this schematics revision (REV1.2B) are updated and functional or I have to recheck the schematics thoroughly.

During reading this schematics i have found that R126 connected with Pin T18 of IC U26B (MCU AM3358) have power rating of 1/4W but in BOM it is mentioned as 1/16W resistor. Please confirm me is this 1/4W or 1/16W resistor and can any one of this power rating resistor can be used at this point?

please confirm this as well, at Pin P15 of U26B (MCU AM3358) "AM335XUSB0_VBUS" net name assigned but off page port was assigned with different name "USB0_VBUS".

  • Yes, Rev. 1.2B is functional and this is what the SK EVMs are built from.

R126 is used as a current-limiting resistor for D6. If you do not place D6 you can use 1/16W or even remove R126 completely (replace with short).

As for AM335X_USB0_VBUS and USB0_VBUS, they are the same net. Orcad allows different names for off-sheet connectors.
