Flashing OMAPL138 hangs on waiting for BOOTME

Hi Adam,

You have to mention COM port to receive the BOOTME and able to see "BOOTME" when you open COM1 port through "tera term" or any serial terminal and also please ensure that you have set the boot mode to UART. (0101 : 5678)

ex:

sfh_OMAPL138.exe -p COM1 -erase -targetType C6748_LCDK

Having the appropriate configuration of serial port, Did you do a reset of your target board to send the "BOOTME" text to the host machine via serial port?

tried with

also with COM2 thru COM10 just in case

Are you able to get BOOTME message from serial port by connecting to teraterm or minicom or any other serial utility ?

Having the appropriate configuration of serial port, Did you do a reset of your target board to send the "BOOTME" text to the host machine via serial port?

I tried both the reset button and powering the board up and down. I am also connected to the board via serial port.

Tried with Teraterm. I get no BOOTME message or any other message for that matter.

Tried with S7 set as:

00000000 and 00000101 and 00000011

when I look at the chip memory with CCS I am able to find the D800K800 tag indicating that it has the latest bootloader.

It seems to be problem with hardware and you can probe the UART RX signals through DSO/CRO & confirm.

Have you worked with this board at any time and got BOOTME message ?

Any thing changed on EVM hw related to UART ?

Scoped it and it is sending the BOOTME message over the serial with what looked like a 60 Hz clock.

I have just started with the board, there was an engineer previously that worked with it but i have no contact info for him. I did verifiy with CCS that the boot loader is version d800k800

the hardware is the base hardware (It's the stuff from Logic PD's ZOOM OMAP-L138 EVM development kit)

I have tried with both the TMS320 DSP chip and the OMAPL138 DSP + ARM chip. There is currently only power, a serial cable and a eithernet cable hooked to the board. I also have the UI board attached but not the LCD touch screen.
