'Starting Kernel' stuck issue

Hi,

Im working in AM5728 Processor...

Im booting the board through SD card.

1-> The u-boot is booting and it is passing the control to the kernel.
2-> The kernel is not booting up and it is stuck at 'Starting Kernel....'
3-> This is strengthened by placing printfs statement after "Starting kernel ..." in the u-boot. The printf statements in the u-boot are printed till the control is passed to the kernel i.e till the statement 'kernel_entry(0,machid,r2)'(statement inside the u-boot ).

Hi Siva,

Which SDK do you use?

If you use customized linux kernel, could you share which kernel do you use (from which git repository have you downloaded it) ?

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

We tried all the solutions given in the "Kernel - Common Problems Booting Linux" , but we still find the issue s in the custom board.

We are using the GLSDK 6.10.01 for the AM5728.

Could the LISA mapping be a source of the issue?

This processor is not supported through the e2e forums. Please contact your TI representative/FAE.

Just FYI,

GLSDK6_10 does NOT support AM57xx devices; only DRA7xx platforms, see the release notes: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DRA7xx_GLSDK_6.10.00.02_Release_Notes#Generic_Linux_Software_Development_Kit_.28GLSDK.29_6.10.00.02_for_DRA7xx

Moreover, as Biser said these devices are not supported through community forums, contact your local FAE to obtain more information.
