Does anyone know or has anyone seen a Linux system that can fit into an 8MB RAM footprint with Sitara class devices? We are targeting an AM18xx with Git kernel. Memory cost is the critical issue.

Emile,
8MB of RAM sounds very minimal to me and i've not seen any application running very well on 8MB RAM. I remember doing some work on optimizing kernel/rootfs to run webcam type of application and have really difficult time fitting it well on 25MB. See this presentation here: https://focus.ti.com/seclit/ml/sprp656/sprp656.pdf
Thanks
