TMS320C6748 LCDK and bluetooth

Hi Experts, 

I did some search on interfacing an external bluetooth module with the TMS320C6748 LCDK and couldn't find much information on interfacing bluetooth with the LCDK. 

I am using the TMS320C6748 LCDK and I need to transmit processed ECG data via bluetooth to another bluetooth device (ex smart phone). Also, our requirement is not compatible with BLE profile. I was looking at bluetooth modules similar to RN42 and RN52 . Both of them interface via the UART. Since the TMS320C6748 LCDK has a UART interface accessible via the expansion slot, i was hoping i could interface the RN42 or RN52 via the UART port. 

It would be great if someone could give me some pointers on whether RN42,  RN52 (or similar solutions) have been used with the TMS320C6748 LCDK or whether such a solution is possible?
