Network Throughput Test/Benchmark for TCP in HUA

Hi,

In Boot mode while doing Network Throughput Test/Benchmark for TCP through Hyperterminal we are able to get the IP address and with that IP ,able to access the HUA page.

In Network Benchmark execution

Selected Direction as Receive,

             Protocol as TCP,

             Mb to send 10Mb.

After that in applet page it is showing that "Test is in progress .The results will be displayed when it completes.

But nothing  showed in the applet page. Also checked with Hyper-terminal console.

It shows "TCP receive Task started.Fail to bind socket 48"

  • Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com).

    Welcome to the Keystone Forum!

This forum is for issues with keystone devices its peripherals as well as any SDK used on keystone platforms, including:

    1. MCSDK (Multicore Software Development Kit) 2. Desktop Linux SDK 3. MCSDK Video

When asking a question, please include:

Which version of MCSDK you are using Which processor and board platform (EVM & its revision) you are using If relevant, the version of your components If relevant, which version of the compiler and Code Composer Studio you are using If the issue happens with a specific API, please provide the source code used If the issue happens at run-time, please provide a detailed description of the problem and the expected behavior. Provide attach relevant Message Log or Kernel/Object View debug info or screen captures of the real time analysis tools.

We will get back to you on the above post shortly.

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

I hope, some users get the issues in the initial setup to test this HUA demo for network throughput.
But they found the result, You can find the information for how to test and improve the TCP performance in the below E2E threads.

Ensure the firewall is disabled as well as any other network protection (such as Symantec). Additionally, make sure that only one instance of the website is running. In addition that, refer this wiki for how to test the network throughput using HUA.

  • Hi,

    We are using MCSDK _2_00_06_18,

                         SYS/BIOS_6_33_02_31

                          Xdc tools_3_23_01_43.

                         CCS5.5.

The EVM kit we are using is TMDSEVM6670L.

    System configuration:Windows XP .

    Thanks you,

  • Hi,

Thanks for the package and board details. Did you check my previous post?  I hope, that E2E post will be helpful to find the TCP throughput.

  • Hi,

The network benchmark tests use Java Applets so your Browser must allow them to run. You may get a Security Warning concerning the Applet. If so, you must allow it to run to perform the benchmark.

Find more detailed information in the HUA user guide(hpdspua_user_guide.pdf).
