BCP Example test project not working

Hello,

We are using MCSDK_3.01.01.04. We are trying to run bcpK2HC66BiosTestProject example project on TCI6636K2H EVM (revision 4.0). We have set the switch1 setting to 0001 for DSP no-boot. After launching and running the program we are getting "BCP Power enable failed". Debugging further we get to know that we are unable to set the power domain corresponding to BCP. Can you please help us in solving the issue?

We have tried this example project with using xtcievmk2x.gel file as well but no change in the result was observed. Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Naveen,

I'll look into this issue and get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, can you please ensure that the correct version of CSL header files are being included based on the macros.ini in the example projects directory?

Hi Nitin,

I have checked the PDK version, CSL version etc. They are being picked correctly according to my K2 PDK installed path.

Hi Naveen,

What is the exact part number of the EVM that you are using to run BCP tests? Please note that BCP (and other wireless accelerators such as FFTC, TCP3D, VCP2 etc.) are not available on 66AK2H14/12/06 devices.

Please let us know the exact device part number and the EVM part number. Thanks.

Hi Nitin,

Our EVM board part number is EVMK2H Rev 40. Besides this there are two tags on EVM namely, 9792830533E DSPM-8305E and EPD0105108.

Hi Naveen,

As per the TI Website, this EVM has a 66AK2H14 SOC onboard (http://www.ti.com/tool/EVMK2H) and as I indicated earlier, BCP and other wireless accelerators such as FFTC, TCP3D, VCP2 etc are not available on 66AK2H14/66AK2H12/66AK2H06 devices which is the reason you're getting a BCP power enable failure. You can check the SOC version by reading the JTAGID register at address 0x0262_0018 as given in table 2 of the 66AKH06/12/14 Silicon Errata available at http://www.ti.com/lit/er/sprz402b/sprz402b.pdf.

BCP is available on TCI6636K2H (http://www.ti.com/product/TCI6636K2H) so you'll need the corresponding EVM to run these tests. I would request you to check with your local FAE to get an EVM with TCI6636K2H.

Hi Naveen,

The EVM part number is XTCIEVMK2X. You may have to buy it from a TI distributor in your region. For example, here's the board listed on Arrow's website:

I would again advise you to contact your local TI FAE, in case you need help with the purchase.
