i2c_davinci i2c_davinci.1: controller timed out

Hi,all

i have two chips one is tw9960 the other is wm8731,all connected with dm368 i2c ;

i use the i2cdetect tool can get both tw9960 and wm8731 address,dump the registers of tw9960 is ok,but when dump the registers of wm8731 i only got ' i2c_davinci i2c_davinci.1: controller timed out'; i don't know what's wrong with wm8731. (dvsdk4.02)

please help me ,thank you so much.

Could you verify there's no one but you to use the I2C bus?
Could you check if there's periodic function to use the I2C bus to do something?

Merry Christmas,

i'm sure there is no one but me user the i2c bus, i can catch i2c signals only when i dump the registers with oscilloscope.

Maybe you could first read the read-only registers to verify if the "read" behavior is correct.
