HDMI and/or 3G-SDI interfacing with Keystone II

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 66AK2H14, TMS320DM6467

Hi,

I am hoping to use a 66AK2H14 device for realtime video encoding and decoding, with ethernet transport. The chip looks ideal except that I need to get the video in and out of it somehow.

This applications brief seems to suggest that cameras/video can be easily interfaced to the K2H and K2E series:

however the following application report (HDMI Transmitter/Receiver Support on TMS320DM6467) requires a video port interface (VPIF) which the K2H/K2E don't have.

Has anyone successfully interfaced a K2H/K2E to a HDMI/3G-SDI transmitter/receiver, or got any suggestions of how it could be done? (using an FPGA is not an option for me).

Thanks and best regards,

Kieran.
