Minicom like terminal inside AM335x starter kit

Hi Experts,

When a EVM AM335x kit is accessed through serial terminal from the host machine is there any minicom like application available inside the Linux  SDK 6.0 to control the serial terminal connected to the starter kit ?

If not what is the possible alternatives to do it ?
