Schematic / Layout Difference in AM335x Starter Kit

Hello,

I was wondering if you could provide me with clarification on an issue we are seeing.

On the REV.1.2B schematic for AM335x Starter Kit it shows the RP7 pins one and 16 are not connected

In the layout, it shows that pins 1 and 16 are connected. And show DRC errors. Which makes sense because it does not match the schematic.

Finally, on the board we see that the part is actually shifted so that it isn't connected to these two pads.

Is there a reason why this was connected this way? Was there a mistake with the layout and the fix was to shift the part?

If i were to design my own board is there a reason why I would want to leave this as is?

As a follow up question, is there an errata for the board design that shows any other issues that TI is aware of but have fixed in odd ways?

I am planning on basing a design off this, but do not want to run into a whole bunch of issues if TI is already aware of them.

Thanks,

Tim
