AM335x DDR spreadsheet - relaxed values

I am looking into the tool (AM335x_DDR_register_calc_tool) which calculates the optimized and relaxed value for SDRAM_TIM_x registers and I noticed all the relaxed values are set to be the optimized value +1 except the field REG_T_XSDR[15:6], which has the same value.

Is there a reason for this?

I think you are looking at an old version of the spreadsheet. Download the latest from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_EMIF_Configuration_tips#AC_timing_registers

I downloaded the latest, but still see this descrepancy. The formula for cell F38 is =DEC2BIN(HEX2DEC(F34),C15). Cell E38 is =DEC2BIN(HEX2DEC(E34)+1,C14).

I don't know what you are viewing. In my spreadsheet row 38 is visible only on DDR3 tab, and cells E38 and F38 are empty.

Sorry for not being more specific. This is in the mDDR tab. You have to un-hide the row to see it.

I believe this row has been intentionally hidden. It was visible on earlier versions of the spreadsheet. It shouldn't be used I think.

Hi Henry, that looks to be a typo and should be +1. Those relaxed values should really just be used for testing purposes when timing issues are suspected.
