Hello

I'm looking for development platform for web video streaming.

Input from Camera using MIPI 

Video compression (H264)

Output to CC3200 to WiFi Interface.

Which Processor/controller would you recommend for the video encoding?
I saw that OMAP4 has the capability, but it also has a huge overhead which make price high.

    Hi David,

    There are various TI's processors which are suitable for web video streaming. The choice depends on the desired video resolution, frame rate and price. For example the DM3730 processor supports up to 720p resolution at 30 fps. The dm3730evm board is equipped with this processor. Also you can use some Sitara based boards equipped with AM335x processor for a less expensive solution. If you need of more performance and higher resolution like 1080p or/and higher frame rate like 60 fps I will recommend you a board based on some of the am814x or am816x or am437x processors.
