AM437x emmc booting

Dear All,

I am using AM437x GP EVM  REV 1.4A board, but confused by booting from eMMC long time.

I could not find any useful infomation from this forum.

According the u-boot user guide:

To boot from eMMC, I did the following things:

1. Removed the R176 from SEL_eMMCORNANDn

2. pulled up SEL_eMMCORNANDn to 3.3V to select eMMC, and NANDFLASH would be disabled.

3. According the u-boot user guide, updated the files to eMMC with RAW writes, (MLO, u-boot.img)

4. Changed the SYSBOOT[4:0] to 00001 or 01101 so that MMC1 is in the boot squeue

5. Repower the board.

But the board is not working for me, I can't get any output from UART. Am I missing something in the above steps? This guide is not suitable for am437x? Can you boot from eMMC successful on the AM437x?

Kindly help.

Thanks,

Jakebo
