GStreamer Memory Management

Hi Margarita ,

I want one clarification about gstreamer memory handling....

In GStreamer how the memory is managing between the elements ?

Which IPC mechanism the elements are using and passing the data buffers between them ? 

We are not creating the memory and allocating and all ? When it is creating and which element will handle those memory ?

What is the flow of each element using and freeing etc..,
