OMAP 3530 GPIO Drive

I'm looking for confirmation on the subject GPIO drive capabilities.

I'm direct interfacing a Fairchild optoisolator to GPIO, and can see in the data sheet that the output current range (or limit) for IOH sourcing is programmable; i.e., 2mA, 4mA, 6mA and 8mA.  Given a vdds-0.45V VOHmin, I'm looking to drive a nominal Vf 1.2V forward diode of an opto with the OMAP.

Notes from the data sheet that I'm looking at are here:

[Data Sheet p.35]

(3) The buffer strength of this IO cell is programmable (2, 4, 6, or 8 mA) according to the selected mode; the default value is described in
the above table.
(4) The PU nominal drive strength of this IO cell is equal to 25 uA @ 1.8V and 41.6 uA @ 3.0V. The PD nominal drive strength of this IO
cell is equal to 1 mA @ 1.8V and 1.66 mA @ 3.0V.

Thanks for any clarifications on OMAP GPIO drive capabilities.

Steve
