DM8127 ISS Resizer Throughput

Hi folks,

I am doing some performance testing on a DM8127 platform that is using both of the ISS resizers (RSZ-A and RSZ-B).

The platform is taking a 3MP input image @30 fps into the ISS and the resizer outputs are as follows:

1. RSZ-A = 2048x1536@30fps.

2. RSZ-B = 1280x720@30fps.

According to the documentation that I have (SPRUH30B_ISS page 355), the combined maximum pixel clock output from both resizers is 200MPix/s (at 100% OPP).

My calculation based on the above configuration is that the combined output from both resizers is (30x3MP) + (30x0.92MP) = 117.6 MPix/s.

Tiled memory is NOT being used.

Therefore the platform should be operating well within the specification of the ISS Resizers.

A couple of questions:

1. Is the calculation that I have done above correct?

2. Are there any other factors that come into play when calculating the throughput of the resizer?

In terms of performance, everything seems to be working OK, but I have seen one instance of a resizer overflow that I haven't been able to explain.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Terry
