Jose Ruiz,
I received an email, that you had responded to one of my threads. http://e2e.ti.com/support/arm174_microprocessors/omap_applications_processors/f/42/p/29318/135956.aspx#135956
However, when I looked at that thread, I couldn't find your post. ??? Nor could I find a way this system will send you a message. So, I'm posting here, in hopes you will receive this.
Code Composer Studio gave you the message about the "ICEPick_C" (which pretty well describes how I felt about the whole thing......)
Here are two potential solutions:
- Make sure you're using the correct USB port. The EVM board has TWO USB ports. Check the photos on the Quick Start Guide. The correct USB port is right next to the RS-232 connector.
- Make sure the SOM (mini-board containing the processor) is FULLY seated in its socket. Mine wasn't, but it falsely seemed like it was seated. I could pick up the board by holding the SOM, so I was falsely convinced the SOM was seated. I had to press hard to seat it. So hard I feared I might crack the board. Place support underneath the SOM portion of the EVM board, and press firmly. You'll hear (and feel) and little snap when it settles into place. There's something like 300 connections on that SOM, so align them carefully, and press firmly.
