HDMI 'I2C Bus Low?' Errors

Hi,

When I insert the HDMI module I get 'I2C BUS LOW ?' error, looking at the code it checks for DDC bit.

I have tried pulling up the i2c2 which is connected to HDMI but still no luck following is the complete boot log:-

    Are you using EZSDK? If yes, make sure you are using the latest version of the EZSDK (5.05.02.00) with the latest version of the linux kernel:

    Are you using TI EVM or custom board?

  • Hi Pavel,

    Yes I am using the ti81xx-master branch itself. Yes its a custom board the i2c buffers connected to hdmi as same as on the evm.
    I even tried pulling up the pin 78/79/111/112 but still the same issue.

    Any pointers on how to proceed would be much appreciated ?

    Are you able to reproduce this issue on the TI EVM or this issue is valid only for custom board?

    Then this should be HW related issue, and I can suggest you to double check the HW design of your custom board. Please refer to the routing, design and layout specifications in the HDMI section of the datasheet. Check also the below links and DM814x TI EVM schematics.

    Now I am able to read the edid, and wvery thing is fine but I dont see the color bar test pattern generated by VENC on the HDMI,
