DM8168 1080i output problem

I try 1080i output to hdmi port.
Set output parameter to EVM.

echo 74250,1920/88/148/44,1080/2/15/5,0 > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display0/timings

Outputed format is 1920 * 540 / 30mhz at monitor.

1080P50, 1080P30, 1080P60 ok.

Need other setting output to P->I ?

Hi Tae Yeon,

1080I on HDMI cannot be supported. Please refer errata http://www.ti.com/lit/er/sprz329e/sprz329e.pdf

Refer section Advisory 2.1.62 & Advisory 2.1.35

Reason is, the venc that drives HDMI cannot provide correct sync signals for HDMI in this mode and embedded sync mode cannot be used as the internal connection between VENC & HDMI do not allow this.

One more question.

My board have other HDMI chip at VOUT1.

Current use

echo doublediscrete,yuv422spuv,0/0/0/0 > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display1/output

I try change output format discrete to embbaded sync.

echo triple,rgb888,0/0/0/0 > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display1/output
echo triple,ycbcr444,0/0/0/0 > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display1/output
echo triple,yuv422spuv,0/0/0/0 > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display1/output

It is not output.

Is my setting right?

Double channel output on Vout1 is not possible, Why dont you use Vout0? Most of these issues will be resolved if you use Vout0.

My mistake.
Hdmi chip is conected vout0.
I want know 1080P60 embbaded sync exact parameter.

First time hdmi chip set to embbaded sync mode.
I wonder 8168 setting problem, or hdmi chip setting problem.

1080p60 output on Vou0 is very well tested, it confirms to the CEA861 standard, so you could just set the standard to 1080p60 and it will work.
