gst-launch filesrc location=/home/root/sample.mov ! qtdemux name=d d.video_00 ! queue ! h264parse ! tee name=vtee vtee. ! queue ! omx_h264dec ! omx_scaler ! omx_ctrl display-mode=OMX_DC_MODE_1080P_60 ! omx_videosink vtee. ! queue ! avimux name=mux d.audio_00 ! queue ! faad ! tee name=atee atee. ! alsasink device="plughw:0,1" atee. ! queue ! faac mux. ! filesink location=/home/root/re.avi

This pipeline decode and display the video on the display, in the same time encode it and save in file - avi. It includes the audio as well.


Here is the pipeline used for decode and display on the encoded video with the previous pipeline:

gst-launch filesrc location=re.avi ! avidemux ! h264parse ! omx_h264dec ! omx_scaler ! omx_ctrl display-mode=OMX_DC_MODE_1080P_60 ! omx_videosink sync=true

You could remove the audio thread and change the container for your use case.

Here one more exmaple :

gst-launch -v filesrc location=sample.mov ! qtdemux ! 'video/x-h264' ! h264parse access-unit=true ! omx_h264dec ! omx_h264enc ! filesink location=check.yuv

and

gst-launch filesrc location=check.yuv ! h264parse ! omx_h264dec ! omx_scaler ! omx_ctrl display-mode=OMX_DC_MODE_1080P_60 ! omx_videosink

I need to transcode TS video from "h.264" to "mpeg2".
I am taking UDP multicast Transport Stream from Ethernet port and after transcoding send back to UDP multicast.
I am able to decode and display on HDMI. How do I transcode .
My H/W : Spectrum Digital EVM

Here is two examples first is receiving the video from PC and decode on EVM. Second one is encode on EVM and send it to PC


gst-launch udpsrc port=1234 ! queue ! mpegtsdemux ! h264parse ! omx_h264dec ! omx_scaler ! omx_ctrl display-mode=OMX_DC_MODE_1080P_60 ! omx_videosink sync=true

gst-launch videotestsrc ! omx_h264enc ! queue ! h264parse ! gstperf ! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=IP

You should merge these pipelines.

My application needs to transcode from "h264" to "mpeg2".

So i need :"h264" decoder and "mpeg2" encoder.

I read in a post that mpeg2 encoder is not implemented in "ezsdk":

so how I can transcode from "h.264" to "mpeg2".

Hello,

You could try to execute the gst-inspect | grep "enc" to check is there a ffmpeg mpeg2 encoder in the gst plugin. If there is you could try to use it but keep in mind that you should use ffmpegcolorspace element, it is a software encoder also, probably you will observe a low fps and 100% arm load.
