Hi,

I transfert an old source code (to drive a motor) from TI2812 dsp to Arm Sitara.

In my old application i used the space vector method (clarkParck.c, svgen_Dq files and Iqmath.lib librarie) to generate the three Pwms.

My questions: How to replace the old Iqmath.lib by a new librarie, and is it pertinent to continue using the IQMat functions with a floatting point Dsp ?

My loop tick is 62us, i don't have a lot of time to calculate the spaceVector.

I am using an Sitara Arm3359 and I develop under Windows 7 with CCS v5.0 tool.

Hi Jean-Michel,

If MATH_TYPE is defined as FLOAT_MATH, IQMath will be using float support in hardware (assuming hardware has float support), hope this helps.

On AM437x (much similar to AM335x, but with more capabilities/features), which is more suitable for Motor Control, libraries for Motor Control on C28x has been adapted, there though IQ Math library has been ported, MATH_TYPE is FLOAT_MATH, thus making use of float support in hardware, refer for more details,

Hi Afzal,

sorry for the delay, i was too busy with another project...

As you recomended I modify the #define macro in the iqmathLib.h file to enable the float operations:

Before:

#define FLOAT_MATH 0
#define IQ_MATH 1

#ifndef MATH_TYPE
#define MATH_TYPE IQ_MATH
#endif

After:

#define float32_MATH 1
#define IQ_MATH 0

#ifndef MATH_TYPE
#define MATH_TYPE float32_MATH
#endif

It's ok now, no compilation or link errors !!!
