C64xx support for 512Mbit SDRAM

Hi,

 I'm designing with the TMS320C6414TBGLZA8 and need to connect 2 SDRAMs (512Mbit each, 4M x 32bit x 4 banks) to EMIF-A. (SDRAM P/N : IS42S32160D-6BLI)

One SDRAM data bus will be connected to AED0-31 and the Second SDRAM data bus will be connected to AED32-63

The structure of the SDRAM is :

Rows = A0-A12

Columns = A0-A8

Banks = BA0-BA1

I was looking at the “TMS320C6000 DSP External Interface (EMIF) Reference Guide (Rev. E)” document regarding connection of SDRAM to the 64x DSP and couldn’t find an example for 512Mbit SDRAM connection on page 100. The maximum example was for 256Mbit.

According to the text on page 99, it seems that I shouldn’t have any problem connecting 2x512Mbit to the 64bit data bus but I must confirm it with any specialist here

I’ll appreciate your responses and ideas regarding my situation

Thanks
