OMAP 3530 And support for 2GBit Bit memories.

Hi,

I am creating a design with OMAP 353x using external memories and I need to have 512MB of RAM.

I have found 2GBit memory chip from Micron.

However, the internal structure of the chip is 128M x 16.

In the data sheet to the OMAP CPU (SPRUF98D–October 2009) is a table (Table 11-63. SDRC Address Multiplexing Scheme Selection vs SDRAM Configurations) with list of compatible memory configuration.

Unfortunately this one configuration (128x16) is not listed.

I am aware, that this type of memory is really new and therefore in might not be listed in the mentioned table.

I need some kind of confirmation if the OMAP will work with these memory chips before I buy them and make a final deisng.

Brg,

Rado
