Multiplexing Mode on Sitara

We are evaluating Sitara for a new project. We have seen the restriction given from the MULTIPEXING MODE. We'd like to know if this MODE has to be the same for all PINS or if it can be different for each pin. Thanks in advance.

Each pin can be used in one of the possibilities given from the Multiplexing MODE choosen. This MODE has to be the same for all PINS of the device or it can be different for each PIN?

I understand. The mode for each pin can be different, however there are some restrictions for groups of pins used for a concrete interface. I suggest you download the Pinmux tool (http://www.ti.com/tool/pinmuxtool ) and read the support wiki: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Pin_Mux_Utility_for_ARM_MPU_Processors (there is a download link inside). You will see that some IO selections will give an IO set violation (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Pin_Mux_Utility_for_ARM_MPU_Processors#IO_Set_Violation_Status ). This must be avoided.
