OMAPL138 LCDK Arm part compilation

Hi,

I want to know how to include the GCC in the Arago project which i have in Omapl138LCDK,using hyper terminal or mini-com i want to write the the program and there is no editor like gedit in the OS so how i can insert the patch on it, if any one have any ideas or related document kindly share it thanks in advance.

Hi Mohamed,

You will not get GUI editor like gedit in small rootfs and ARM GCC toolchain.
You can do some cross compiling the package which you want to work.

What is your intention here please ?

HI,
Thanks for the reply i want to port the Embedded Linux operating system like Angstrom there GUI it has editor and to compile my application which is a video processing code whether it is possible ?

Yes, its possible.
You have to build the ARAGO or ANGSTROM through YOCTO or online building with enabling X11 server.

We need X platform to run any GUI based apps called desktop support.

Select the platform and build through online.
