c6608 SRIO issue

Hi, I am using c6608 TI DSP to communicate with another SoC through the SRIO transfer. When I am doing a write operation, it is successful whereas when I do a read operation it fails with the transfer completion code being 3.

Can someone kindly explain the scenarios in which the completion code 3 is returned from the "GetLSUCompletionCode" function. That is, in LSU_STATUS register, the field Completion Code is set to 3 at the end of read transaction.

However, for write operation, "GetLSUCompletionCode" function returns the Completion code field as 0, which means transfer is complete without any errors.

Hi,

Have you using TI provide SRIO example for your testing? If yes, please provide the project name.

Another SOC is same C6608 or different one?

The completion code 3 indicate the Transaction completed, Non-posted response packet (type 8 and 13) contained ERROR status, or response payload length was in error. Please checked the data is received properly at receiver side or not.

Hi,

I have not used the TI provided example SRIO project . The other SoC is not same as c6608. It is a different one.

I am trying to write to a particular address in the Soc and reading that again to check the values. When I do the write, the completion code says success. So I assume it has reached the SoC successfully .However, when I read the same address again, I am getting completion code 3. Like you said, the description for completion code 3 says "Transaction is complete " but some other things are in error.

Can you explain the significance of this ? I mean , what exactly is the problem if the code is 3 ?

After SRIO write, please checked the data is received properly at receiver side or not. Also you need comfirm the other side SOC is responding the read operation.

Hi Vaishnavi,

Are you using the Doorbell interrupts ? This may hapen if you are setting the doorbell bit but not clearing it explicitly.
Also check the status of ERR_STAT register.
