SPI flash - davinci DM81xx

Hi Chethan,

You can boot DM814x device from several sources, one possible source is SPI flash. In order to boot from SPI flash, you need first to write/flash valid bootloader in this SPI flash. You can write/flash the SPI flash from several sources:

1. Using CCStudio and JTAG with Flash tool:

2. Write/Flash the SPI through UART

3. Write/Flash the SPI through MMC/SD card

Hi pavel,

that was g8....now i'm going through some available driver in which i found some SPIBOOT_HEADER_ on which members like magicnumber(0xa1aced00),entryPoint(0x81080000),appSize(0),ldAddress(0x81080000).
In which what each represents??? help me regarding i stuck here only.

I am not sure what you mean here. Could you please provide more details?

For writing/flashing the SPI with valid bootloader you should built the u-boot source for SPI. For 1st stage bootloader, use ti8148_evm_min_spi, for 2nd stage use ti8148_evm_config_spi.
