Hello to the TI E2E community!
I am currently looking at the TI EVMK2H small cell evaluation platform (linked below) and need to make a decision on whether to purchase it and proceed with developement. The timeframe for this decision is by close of business (17:30 GMT), Wednesday 4th, February. A decision later than this date will be considered a slip in schedule so urgent responses will be very much appreciated.

The foundation software provided with this evaluation board is the Multicore SDK (MCSDK).

I have some questions relating to the small cell software overview as seen here:
So in relation to the above, i have some questions that I would appreciate any information on. These questions are as follows.
1) I understand that the MCSDK is included with the evaluation board as foundation software. What is not clear is whether the "SoftwarePac" software, inlcuding the LTE software, is included. In the diagram shown in the overview link above it appears to be a separate package. Is this correct? or is it actually inlcuded in the evaluation board software? If not included, where is it available from?
2) TI claim that it is possible to "make first call in a few days". I would like to know what exactly is required for this? Assuming that there is the eval board (EVMK2H) and an air interface (transceiver of some kind), Is all the software required to do this included? LTE L2/3 stacks? Is the RFSDK software package related to call processing or is it only required to configure TI's transceiver interface (AFE7500)?
3) To make calls, can any UE mobile device be used or are there specific requirements/sim cards required?
4) CPRI data format in section 7.6.1 of the Keystone II Aintenna Interface 2 (AIF2) document specifies that the uplink is 7/8bits as opposed to 16bits for the downlink. Section 3.2 of this document specifies 15bit I and 15bit Q bit widths. Section 3.2.2.2.1 states again that “AIF2 supports only CPRI LTE sample bit widths of 15-bit I + 15-bit Q”. Is it possible to get clarification of this and confirm if it is possible to support symmetrical 15/16bit UL and DL?
Thanks for reading and any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Dean
