DM814x U-boot with 1GB DDR initialization

Hi,

I am using DM814x EVM with U-boot version “U-Boot 2010.06 (Jul 13 2011 - 16:01:17)”. It initializes only 500MB DDR. Have TI released any new version of U-boot that can initialize 1 GB DDR? or there is a simple way to rebuild u-boot for 1 GB DDR.

Hi Jam,

The latest version of DM814x/TI814x u-boot is initializing 1GB DDR, you can get it from the below link:

arago-project.org/.../u-boot-omap3.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/ti81xx-master

Thanks Pavel for your reply. I need binary of u-boot and I see there is source of u-boot at git. Is there a place from where I can get binary of u-boot?

You can build u-boot binary from the u-boot source code, following the instructions in the below wiki page:

You can get a binary of 1GB DDR u-boot from the EZSDK 5.05.02.00 package:

ti-ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_05_02_00/board-support/prebuilt-images/
