Hi, I'm going through the setup shown in the Bios users guide section 7.2.1 for setting up a platform in CCS5 for my AM3359 ICE EVM V2. When I go to the path for my install (C:\TI\xdctools_3_30_05_60_core\packages) and set that as the repository the only package that comes up that I can use is the "host.platforms.arm" but there's nothing in the CPU.Core drop down menu, so I can't get past this point.

How should I proceed?

Bob,
which version of SYS/BIOS are you using? Can you post the screenshot of the platform selection dialog? Is there anything displayed in Error Log, which you can turn on with View->Other...->General->Error Log?

I can't see the attached image, but what I was trying to see if the checkbox for SYS/BIOS is checked in Products and Repositories. SYS/BIOS actually contains the platform packages.
Also, the path to an XDCtools installation shouldn't be listed in Products and Repositories. You just need to choose XDCtools under "XDCtools version" and the path to the XDCtools repository will be searched automatically.
Take a look at this thread for example: e2e.ti.com/.../208491. The first screenshot shows that SYS/BIOS is selected, and the XDCtools path is not listed in Products and Repositories.

Bob,
can you click on Browse ... and navigate to your SYS/BIOS installation, and select its directory 'packages'. You should see more platforms then. That part of the User Guide probably needs to be updated because the most of the platforms are in SYS/BIOS not in XDCtools.
