Hi,

I have a question about C6657 PCIe.

I understood that C6657 PCIe are not supporting hot-plug.

But is there any method to support hot-plug with C6657 PCIe?

Will PCIe repeater(ex:DS80PCI102) be the solution for hot-plug?

Hi,

PCIe in C66x device does not support hot plug feature. So the card presence detect pin "PRSNT" is not supported.

And "PERST" as a side-band reset signal is also optional in PCIe spec and is not supported in C66x PCIe.

TI makes a family of redriver/repeater parts that offer the hot-plug capability. A component like the DS80PCI102 is designed specifically for PCIe. This part has a control signal, PRSNT#, which will disable the output drivers which would be connected to the C66xx.
