Using AM335x ADC

Hi all,

I'm trying to read all the ADC values from my AM335x and I'm following the AM335x driver guide. Is this guide up to date? I've found another website that says that continuous sampling is working for all channels?

I'm also missing the following files in my device:

- /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio\:device0/mode

- /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio\:device0/buffer/bytes_per_datum

Any help or hint would be very appreciated

Hi Isak,

What software and which version are you running? Is this an EVM or a custom board?

Hi Biser,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I'm using a Yocto-standard 3.17 kernel on a custom board.

The single shot mode seems to work properly. But now I would like to incorporate it into the C++ SW and would therefore prefer continuous mode in order to speed up the process.

This forum supports only the TI distributed Linux SDK, which is currently based on kernel 3.12.10. Update: SDK 8.0 based on kernel v3.14.26 has now been released.

Nevertheless thank you very much for always trying to be helpful. I very much appreciate all your replies in this forum.

For completeness sake, I have done my research and continuous sampling is supported by the kernel driver (using kernel 3.17). Here is a how-to:

However this how-to is a bit out of date and in the meantime all triggers have been removed from this iio driver.
