New Installation...can't launch a new target configuration

Hi there!

I'm running CC4 for the first time.  When making my first target configuration, I give the configuration a name, select the XDS100 USB Emulator, and select the USBStk5505 device.  I press the "Save" button which then grays out.  Then under "View", I select the new target configuration name, right-click, but the "Launch Selected Configuration" is disabled (grayed out).

I tried this twice...no luck at all.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Robert

  • Hi Robert,

It looks as though you have followed the Quickstart Guide correctly, but  "Launch Selected Configuration" should not be grayed out like that...

I would try right-clicking on the target configuration that you created, and click on "Set as Default". Then Click on Target --> Launch TI Debugger.

That should allow you to connect to the target by clicking on Target --> Connect Target.

If you are having problems, try rebooting your computer, and if the problems persist, try posting on the Code Composer Forum...

    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Hi Mark,

Thank you for responding.  I got through the 'launch selected configuration' this morning...but now I'm stuck again.  The next step is connecting to the target...I get the error:

C55xx: Error connecting to the target: Error 0x80000240/-604 Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS,

I'll post in the CCS forum also.  (I can't turn this red off!)

    Thanks again!

    Robert
