tiwi-5 driver issue on DM8148 based custom board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1271, SYSCONFIG

Hi, we are designed one custom board , based on the DM8148 Evm Board. we are connected the LS research tiwi-5 chip to dm8148 processor using sdio1(HSMMC1) interface.  we are using linux kernel 2.6.37 PSP-4.01 version. I Enabled wl12xx drivers in my kernel and I tried. but did not get any results. then i downloaded "compat-wireless-3.2.5-1" source code from net and I try to enable the wlan chip.  Now ti firmware is loaded in to th chip . but when i am running the wpa_supplicant  , I am getting the "wl1271: ERROR sdio read failed (-110)"    and wl1271: ERROR sdio write failed (-110). after few sdio error messages, i am able to connect to AP. and ping is working. after few pings again i am getting "wl1271: ERROR sdio read failed (-110)" and ping will not happen.

after that w are getting few messages i.e

wl1271: WARNING TX result overflow from chipset: 67120750

wl1271: ERROR Illegal RX rate from HW: 118

wl1271: WARNING TX result illegal id: 186

1)  Is there any kernel patch so that wl127x will work in PSP-04.01 kernel version itself.(i.e with out compat wirelss is it possible)

2)  I am using compat-wireless-3.2.5-1  version , is it correct version for tiwi-5 ? or any specific version is there ?

3)  I am not using any regulators in the board file , is giving any problem ?

i am attaching my log to this mail, please check it once  and provide us solution

I suspect that you should use wl1273-tiwi5 for DM814x device (not wl1271)

Are you using EZSDK? If yes, then Code Sourcery 2009q1 should be used (not 2010q1)

You should ask/post in our Wireless Connectivity forum:

  • Hi Pavel,

we followed above documents , but still our issue is not resolved. after few pings its giving

wl1271: ERROR sdio read failed (-110) , after getting this error also some time ping is working, but when i get "wl1271: ERROR sdio write failed (-110) " error total system is halted. nothing will work.

is it possible to reduce the sdio clock in dm8148? we are using HSMM1 for sdio interface. how to change the sdio1 clock to 12mhz ? (currently we are getting 24mHz).

is there any issue with file system? we are using file system which is given by PSP04.01.

    please help us...

    Regards
