DM6435 Bootloader problem

Hi,

Could you please elaborate on the line below and explain what the actual problem is?

"During SCI boot mode, the 3 PWM of DM6435 make signal. Especially PWM 3 generate PWM, "

My problem is that

I used UART boot mode.
 
After boot finish, I configure all registers of course.
 
But you know, during boot mode in SCI(during down load my code), i can't  configure any registers.
 
This is problem that the PWM(especially PWM3) is generated during this time 
 
i can't do anything!
 
Maybe the boot code in DSP have problem, i think~

Sorry really PWM 2 is problem,

DM6435 have 3 kind of PWM,(PWM0, PWM1, PWM2)

During SCI boot, The PWM is generated wave(about 366hz)

What do you mean by SCI boot?

it is mean bootloader.  DM6435 have various boot mode like SCI, SPI, I2C, external interface, etc. 

Please let me know where you saw the "SCI" bootmode in our device datasheet. http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tms320dm6435.pdf

I've looked those docs before asking you. My question was what you meant by "SCI". I don't see this character string in the documents, even the author of SPRAAG0 was unsure what you meant by "SCI".

Oh sorry~ i misss understand.

SCI means UART.

I use DSP 281x usually. In this paper, UART calls SCI(serial communication interface).

And i got the answer from TI support in asia, Mr Shine Zhang.

Regarding your inquiry, PWM2 is multiplexed with CLKOUT0 pin, in default, the pin acted as CLKOUT0 function, so during boot time, there is clock signal outputing from the PWM2/CLKOUT0 pin. Please see page 26, 91 on below datasheet for the description of CLKOUT0/PWM2 pin.

Ok, i understand about the pin initial state. 
but  i think it is not good idea.
 
Because if the pin connect motor or some control device, it make problem(actually our system connct motor PWM)
As soon as turn on the power, the motor move abnormally.
After finish SCI boot mode, the motor stop by my code.
 
Because of  this reason, i must insert prevent circuit.
 
Do your company have any plan change the initial state about the PWM?
