Hi,

I had a query about DSP SYS/BIOS OS. Is it possible to generate individual images of SYSBIOS OS and Application image like VxWorks.

As in Vxworks, Boot loader launches the SYS/BIOS OS and User may or may not load the Application image, either from flash or Ethernet (TFTP).

I had a similar requirement in my project, so posted this query and awaiting for your reply.

Please provide your DSP part number? (Eg: C6678, C6657)

Have you try to boot your application via Ethernet interface? For more information refer boot loader user guide.

My DSP part no is C6674.

Yes, I'm aware of DSP booting over Ethernet. And my DSP boots an Application from boot loader stage over Ethernet.

My Application is combination of SYSBIOS OS + User App, My doubt is : is it possible to boot only SYS/BIOS image from boot loader over Ethernet and from that SYS/BIOS OS image i need to boot my User App image.

I worked the same with VxWorks RTOS, I had a doubt with SYS/BIOS RTOS whether it supports or not.

Mani,
No. You can not boot only SYS/BIOS then load application on top of it. It is gonna be a combined image with SYS/BIOS and application.
