I would like to add new I2C/SPI based devices with the AM335x SoC.

For that I would like to add the entry in the device tree file, platform code and other required places in the Linux kernel so that it would be initialized at the bootup.

It would be great to have a documentation on adding/deleting the custom peripheral information and operation of the same.

This is very common linux question.
For this, you would get a "n" no of documents in internet even for your specific SPI/I2C devices.
And also you wont face any big problem here since EVM board has support already for that and you may need to change the bus no , chip select and slave ID etc., other than that you won't see any major change here.

Also you can refer the documentation of linux for DTS for every interface.

I've found the Free Electrons material to be excellent. In their labs, you add a SPI device (Wii Nunchuk) to the Beaglebone Black. They walk through a lot of the details generic to adding any platform device. I think it is some of the best Linux material available.
