Hi,
I have been working with the AM335x Starter Kit and am very happy with the hardware. I am attempting to upgrade to a 7" TFT touch screen display (to replace the smaller one the kit came with). After looking into the datasheet for the TPS61081DRC it would appear that the current configuration would support a higher current than what is being used by the 4.3" screen.
Here's the issue:
7" screen: 21 LED backlight (compared to 12), current = 60mA max (compared to 40mA max of the 4.3" display). Upon further review of the TPS61081DRC datasheet the application schematic shows a configuration that supports 250mA.
7" screen PN (ThreeFive Corp.): TFC-A9700RTWV35TR-02
Can the current configuration handle the additional 20mA max current that the 7" display could require without burning up?
Please refer to TI's AM335x Starter Kit schematic for the LCD.
Thanks for the help and input.
