Printing register address and its contents

Hi Experts,

I am using AM335x EVMSK with Linux kernel 3.14 from TI.

How to print the register base address and its contents during the execution of software. ie. using the pr_info() or printk() for dumping the register contents ?

Is it make trouble with any of the read clear registers in the SoC ?

HI lyf,

To print contents of Register you can use devmem2 utility in user space.
For kernel space, use ioremap() and dump the contents using printk.

You should know the which address you want to dereference before you use these options. So, programmer knows the address already. Then why you want to print address again?

You can use __raw_readl and raw_writel register to read and write the MMR registers.
