If i am running some qt app on my board LCD timeout is not happening,without qt application timeout is working.

It's timeout, not screensaver.

Actually we have our own customized board based on am335x. we are working on linux-3.2.0-psp04.06.00.11.tar.bz2 PSP.

Hi Shammi,

Please see in the:
drivers/tty/vt/vt.c
static int blankinterval = 10*60;
variable. You can change it. If you set to 0 your system can't have screen saver.

Means LCD backlight should go off after some time to save power.

Hi Shammi,

I don't know the sdk to have this functionality. If you want to do this you can make yourself. Do you try this by FS with:
# echo 1 > /sys/class/pwm/ecap.2/run
# echo 100 > /sys/class/pwm/ecap.2/duty_percent

This 100 is only for examples. You can change this value.
But to work you can initialize some timer to give you interrupt for your needed time.

I have seen one thing that when "entering graphics mode"(Running qt) /sys/module/kernel/parameters/consoleblank value becoming zero.
In normal mode if i am not running qt app this value is by default 10 min (Inside driver/tty/vt/vt.c).
