AIF2 Rx Flow Mapping with RRH

Hi,

I have an issue with AIF2 Rx Flow Number and Radio Remote Head antenna no. Here is my setup and problem:

AIF2: One Link 20 MHz BW and 4x link rate so it has 2 AxC and RRH specs are 20 MHz and 4x Link rate. RRH has 2 antenna ports and 1 SFP port. Signal generator is connected to the first antenna of the RRH to supply data to DSP. When I run the system sometimes the signal comes from the second AxC. AIF2 should do 1:1 mapping with AxC number with RRH antenna port, But for my case sometimes RRH Antenna port 0 sends the data into AIF2 AxC1. This issue only happens when the system start, and it is random. When I look at the descriptor PS word I can see the AxC1 but the data should not come into AxC1 because signal is coming from RRH antenna port 0. it should go to AIF2 AxC0.

I check the Rx flow settings and link configuration and I have also compared that with LTE example project, however I could not get the problem.

Please let me know If you guys have any idea about this issue.

Hello,

For AIF2, there is a 1 to 1 mapping of Rx Flow to Rx Channel, and normally will be configured for an AxC per channel. I assume in this case you're using Rx flow/channel 0 for AxC0 and flow/channel 1 for AxC1? Both Rx channels are enabled? if so, can you tried sending only one AxC from the signal generator?

Hi Dave,

I am sending only one AxC (AxC0) from signal generator and I have tried two cases:
1. Both AxC0 and AxC1 are enabled from AIF2 PD Channal Register.
2. Only one AxC (AxC0 ) is enabled . when I tried this case, I cannot get any signal. When I look at the AxC1 I can see the signal.

So, for both cases I got the same issue. During first AIF configuration, is there a time delay which we have to set for safety reason?

Not: I verified the problem w/ two different RRH.

Hi,

Do we have to wait sometime after these two functions?
1. AIF_initHw(&aifObj);
2. AIF_startHw(&aifObj);

When I put 50ms delay after those functions it looks like the AxC flow issue is gone :)

Please verify my claim.

Yes, that is correct. I believe the expectation is at a minimum 10ms.
