uPP driver issue

Hi,

I use driver UPP_BIOS_Driver_Install_v10.zip. At the first start of my program in a synchronous mode (*define UPP_STATICCONFIG {upp_sync}) the data from FPGA are not passed (signal WAIT for the channel A remains is equal 1). But if all over again to start the program in an asynchronous mode, and then in synchronous - all works fine. In what there can be a problem?

Hi Tom,

I use CCS 6.0.1, DSP/BIOS 5.42.1.09, processor OMAP-L138 (DSP only). L138 via the interfaces uPP is connected with FPGA.

Sorry for the delayed response here.
How did you run the code ie through CCS or flash ?
Did you modify the code ?
Could you please check the uPP registers (including control,status etc.,) while working (async -> sync) and not working (sync) ?

I run the code through CCS. I not modify the original code of uPP driver.

Sorry for the delayed response on this.
I've done experiments to confirm.
This example seems, tested only with "async" mode.
All call back functions supporting only for "async" mode of operation.
You can check out the structure "upp_ChanParams" in "upp_md.h"

But if all over again to start the program in an asynchronous mode, and then in synchronous - all works fine. In what there can be a problem?

How did you done this ?
Modified the code or reloading with "sync" code without power off ?

Hi Oleh,

Please refer to the following TI wiki page that talks about sync vs async operations.

The demo application will not work in loopback mode if the driver is operated in synchronous mode; the first call to GIO_read will never return.
