We are not able to generate a reset out on “nRESETIN_OUT signal” (Pin Name: WARMRSTn) either through the Watchdog timer or through SW Warm Reset. I don’t see any toggling or reset going low on WARMRSTn pin (per table 8-25) when I probe the same with scope. We are also using this reset out as reset input to all other peripherals on the board.
In section “8.1.7.4.1 External Warm Reset” of TRM (Literature Number: SPRUH73L) there was a caution mentioned not to use it as bidirectional but on our first proto we configured as bidirectional by connecting the push button switch with a pull up. This works well as a reset input to processor but it is not able to generate reset out for the above cases as I explained. I am attaching the screenshot of the schematic for your reference.
Can you please explain what is going wrong and help me out to resolve this issue?
