We want to port Java on AM1808.

Is is possible?

If yes then how can we do it?

Yes, it is possible but only headless support (no GUI).
You can download "armv5" headless support from oracle website.
If ORACLE providing headfull support for armv5 architecture then you able to develop and run JAVA GUI app on AM1808.

Thanks for your post.

We do support only AM1808 device related queries and not Java related queries, but anyway, yes, you could cross compile java for AM1808 and you could run GUI related application on AM1808 embedded platform

For starters please refer to the following wiki for information on Java for ARM9:

Actually, java version is tested on linux kernel for AM1808. Please see http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/How_to_add_a_Java_Virtual_Machine_(JVM). Version 1.7.0_06 was used for the benchmark examples on the page for AM808

You can take look at : http://gcc.gnu.org/java/ for cross-compliling java for embedded platform
