[TMS320VC5504] Confirm the NAND Boot

Guru 24520 points

Hi community member,

Would you please provide your advice for the following question?

[Question]

Does C5504 support the NAND boot by using the SLC NAND(TC58NVG0S3HBAI6)?

According to this NAND datasheet, the device code(id) is 0xF1. So, the bootloader of VC5504 can be supported the NAND boot by using this in my understanding. Is my understanding correct?

If you have any question, please let me know.
Best regards.

Kaka

  • Hi Kaka-san,

Yes, your understanding is correct this is in Supported NAND Device ID.

If I understand you correctly you are refering to VC5504.  This device "TMS320VC5504" is marked as NRND - Not recommended for new design. The support for this device will be very limited, also this device may not be available for purchase and need to be checked with TI sales.

    Regards
